Fee for Service

San Antonio Gifted and Talented is a fee for service clinic. There are many reasons for this. Many insurance companies will reimburse for services only if your child is diagnosed with a major mental health disorder. Being really, really, really smart does not, as yet, qualify as such. Moreover, insurance companies are unlikely to pay for educational testing.

Fee for Service clinics additionally allow that:

• You are the focus of treatment, not your insurance company.
• Clients have freedom of choice as to provider and length of services.
• The provider’s time is spent solely on the client, not on insurance dictates.
• Clients have easier access to care.
• By eliminating a third party payor, you have increased control over the dissemination of your records.
